1885 GRILL

DINING IN LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, GEORGIA

FLAVORS FROM CHILDHOOD

The story of 1885 Grill started way before it opened, 16 years before to be exact. Owner Miguel Morales grew up in Southern Carolina where he was first introduced to southern cuisine and their seafood fare. His southern cuisine influence mainly came from his mother while in contrast he got Spanish and Puerto Rican cuisine influences from his father. As an adult he became a managing partner at Carrabba's Italian Grille and this is where his dream of opening his own restaurant began. After 16 years of learning the ropes of the restaurant business and planning his own he created 1885 Grill. Here he was able to pull the flavor and influences of his youth to create an eclectic menu close to his heart and heritage.
